DESCRIPTION:The Shutter Shots digital photo contest is designed to capture all of the beauty, nuances and charm of Maricopa and its surrounding areas during a 24-hour period.&nbsp; It is a day in the life of Maricopa immortalized through digital photography so that in the future there is a collection of photos that illustrate what the City looked like on October 15 of each year.<br><br>On October 15 we will celebrate the anniversary of the City of Maricopa.&nbsp; One way our citizens can capture this historic day is through their camera lenses.&nbsp; Entering the contest is easy and free.&nbsp; Photographers of every age and skill level are encouraged to venture out on Wednesday, October 15 and take pictures of daily activities going on around the city.&nbsp; Participants will then submit their three best snapshots by 9 a.m. on Monday, October 20.&nbsp; Winning photos will be selected on criteria such as photographic excellence, visual impact and artistic quality.&nbsp; Prizes will be awarded for the best overall image in each of the Amateur, Professional and Youth categories.<br><br>Registration and contest information will be available soon!
